Meet our Staff


Mary-Jane Bell Amrein: founder. Stott Certified Pilates Instructor since 1997.  She also founded a local gym, Aerobics Plus, which she owned for 20 years bef
ore selling it and moving the pilates program to its current location.  She was honored by the Williamsburg Area Chamber of Commerce as Small Business Person of the Year while she owned Aerobics Plus. Additional certifications include Muscle Activation Techniques Specialist, Personal Trainer from Dr. Ken Cooper's Aerobic Institute of Research in Dallas Texas, ACE Gold Certified Aerobic Instructor, and as a Medical Exercise Specialist. Mary-Jane holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees from Virginia Tech.


George Amrein:  Stott Pilates trained instructor in all equipment with additional training in Injury and Special Populations, Balanced Body University Integrated Tower Pilates, and Muscle Acitvation Techniques Jump Start program. Through pilates he has helped clients improve their golf game as well as reduce pain in the hip, knee and back.   He has over 35 years of  exercise experience in a traditional gym and would be a good instructor for those trying pilates  for the first time. George was a former restaurant owner for 2
5 years.  He has his B.S. degree from the University of Maryland.




Kim Barrow: Stott pilates trained instructor since 2002.  She has also attended The Balanced Body University Integrated Tower Training.  She is a popular group class instructor and has helped clients who have Fibromyalgia, Parkinson's disease and Multiple Sclorosis.  She is a former CPA with a B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin.



Elizabeth Michael Faxom: Stott Certified Pilates Instructor since 2005 on all equipment and in Injury and Special Populations.  She also received her certificate in Muscle Activation Technique's Jump Start and Balanced Body University Integrated Tower Pilates.  Elizabeth directs the "Lighten Up" weight loss program which emphasizes healthy eating providing supervision on a private one-on-one basis.  Her success at losing 70 pounds makes her an appropriate counselor in this program.



Trina Lewis: Stott trained pilates instructor since 2006 on all equipment.  She also received her certificate in Muscle Activation Technique's Jump Start Program and Balanced Body University Integrated Tower Pilates.  Trina's other love is Tae Kwon Do in which she has earned her Black Belt.  She lives the healthy lifestyle and has taught classes on these topics as well as weight management.



Annie Jones: Coordinator of Client Services.  Annie keeps the business running smoothly providing excellent customer service, and smiles to our clients.  She schedules the pilates appointments and handles group class registration.
